Insurance Coverage
We understand insurance is cumbersome and frustrating for most. At NDH, we help our customers understand their insurance by offering complimentary investigation into your plan and the details to ensure you know your options.
We can provide estimates/ predeterminations to your insurance company and contact them for details-if you would like to set up an “in-person” meeting to review, we are more than happy to oblige. We can also provide information via telephone. It’s preferred to have a verbal conversation when discussing insurance details and payments.
We offer 2 options for insurance payments;
ASSIGNMENT-The insurance companies pay us (not preferred by NDH), we respect that some clients need to utilize the insurance making direct payments to the office and that is why we continue to offer this option for clients visiting NDH.
NON ASSIGNMENT-You pay for your service the day of and you are reimbursed by your insurance company either through direct deposit or cheques.
Please let the administration team know if you have any concerns about your insurance, are having a hard time understanding your insurance, or if you need to change your method of payment at any time.

Canadian Dental Care Program
Norfolk Dental Hygiene feels strongly about improving access to dental care across Canada. We are proud to be participating in this amazing initiative for Canadian Families.

What’s the benefit year?
July 1-June 30- need to re-apply yearly as it’s based on income.
What’s covered?
A variety of services are covered from preventative to restorative.
How will it work at NDH?
You will be asked to follow the same intake process as all our new clients.
The coverage allows for 1 new patient exam only, this can be used in our facility or a dental office but not both.
Children (0 to 11)- may have their teeth cleaned, polished, and examined every 12 months with a fluoride application if desired. 20 minute visit
Children (12-16)-may have their teeth cleaned, polished, and examined every 12 months with a fluoride application if desired. 30 minute visit
Adults (17+)-may have their teeth cleaned, polished, and examined every 12 months with a fluoride application if desired. 70 minute visit
If you want to become a client at NDH using this program, and you also need to see a dentist, we suggest using the coverage from the CDCP for the dental visit and paying out of pocket for our new client assessment.
